Zenczykiewicz v. Aldi Corporation - this case was settled on the eve of trial against this international corporation represented by major law firms in Chicago and Philadelphia. The case instituted in federal court had alleged malicious prosecution in criminal charges brought against the plaintiff-store manager who, after being fired, had been charged with stealing approximately $5,000 out of a safe. After a not guilty verdict in state court, plaintiff sued alleging reckless investigation of the crime and withholding of exculpatory evidence during the criminal case.
