Aggregate settlements and verdicts in several premises liability cases (slip and fall) where injuries ranged from fractures to soft tissue injuries produced $100,000+ results. Two of these cases bear further discussion: in the first prior counsel had received $500 as the highest offer to settle the case, but after referral and 2 months of representation, the case was settled for $125,000. In the second, same day photographs of scene captured pre-repair condition of an entry to the Architects Building that had caused the plaintiff entering the building to fall and sustain a fracture. Despite Alzheimer's Disease in this 74-year old plaintiff who had other debilitating unrelated conditions, expert opinion evidence of the deterioration in plaintiff's emotional condition and decompensation following her fall, along with the photographs taken at the scene (before and after), produced a $75,000 settlement.
